NORTH MIDLANDS SQUAD TRAINING 2010
"Get Ready For The World Champs"

The World Champs in Telford 11/12 September 2010 are not far away, and as with every World Championship we will be running special squad training sessions at:
Bilborough Sports Centre Bilborough College, Bilborough Road Nottingham NG8 4DG.
10.00 am - 12.00 noon.

I am pleased to announce that after a 6 month selection for the post of new North Midlands Coach, Danny Pearson 3rd Dan, will be heading up the North Midlands future competition development as the Area Coach.

CONGRATULATIONS TO DANNY, WHO RECEIVED UNANIMOUS SUPPORT FROM THE NORTH MIDLANDS INSTRUCTORS!

Danny has competed for nearly 20 years, nationally and internationally, and is one of the most experienced competitors who has trained within Nottingham competition training.   As the Area coach, since the start of the North Midland Development Group, I am proud to hand the reigns of developing the massive new talent within the area over the years ahead to Danny.
In my new role as Manager of North Midlands Competition and Sports Training, I hope to find more time to work 'top down' with the North Midlands instructors, to help them, help you, to progress faster and gain the most from your competition training. And rest assured you will no doubt see my "grumpy" face lending a hand with Danny at Squad Training.

Clash Of The Titans Report

Clash Of The Titans Report

Posted by Paul Mitchell on 17 Nov : 16:18

The magnificent TAGB National squad swept away all before them at the Clash of the Titans event in Huddersfield Leisure Centre on Saturday night the 14th November.

They beat the WKA (World Kickboxing Association) who had many European and World champions in their team, and were favourites for the event. They put out the Lau Gar Kung Fu team in the first round, then in the final the TAGB beat 3 times previous winners – Shorai Karate, who had put out the black belt academy team in the first round.

The TAGB team dominated the event and martial arts illustrated editor and organiser of the event Bob Sykes said the TAGB team out kicked, out punched and out swept their opponents. So we are now not just the best TKD team in the country we are the best martial arts team in the country.
Extra congratulations must go to Warren Vice who was awarded best fighter on the night, but also to coach Kenny Walton, who prepared the team magnificently for this event – well done Kenny.

Last but not least a BIG THANK YOU for all the spectators who supported the TAGB team, despite the weather conditions and the M1 being closed!
There will be a DVD available at the end of November for anyone who wishes to purchase this, the cost will be £14.95 and available from TKD Promotions.
